The JDM Parts Files
Japanese sports-car parts reference

Old Japanese sports cars.
Parts still hiding in Japan.

A model-by-model starting point for owners of the Toyota Supra, Nissan Silvia, Honda NSX, Mazda RX-7 and Nissan Skyline GT-R. Japan still has remaining genuine stock, reproduced heritage parts and specialist inventory — but availability changes constantly, and every item must be verified by chassis code and part number.

Five cars, five separate parts ecosystems

These models should not be treated as one generic “JDM” category. Chassis codes, export specifications and production changes determine whether a part fits.

JDM PARTS FILE · TOYOTA
Supra · A70 / A80
Japan supply network
Production era
1986–2002
Why Japan matters
Japan remains one of the most important places to search for genuine Toyota, period-correct and specialist-stock parts for the A70 and A80 Supra. Availability varies sharply by part number, production date and grade.
Search targets
Interior trim · switches · emblems · weatherstrips · lamps · brackets · cooling and engine-bay hardware
Fitment caution
Confirm chassis code, engine, transmission, production date and LHD/RHD compatibility. JZA80, JZA70 and export-market Supra specifications are not interchangeable by default.
JDM PARTS FILE · NISSAN
Silvia · S13 / S14 / S15
Japan supply network
Production era
1988–2002
Why Japan matters
Silvia parts are still traded through Japan's Nissan parts network, specialist shops and long-established tuning channels. Many pieces are discontinued, so exact stock changes constantly and chassis-code searches matter.
Search targets
Interior switches · vents · console pieces · badges · lamps · exterior trim · engine brackets · transmission hardware
Fitment caution
Silvia, 180SX, 200SX and 240SX can share some components but differ by market, body, engine, airbag equipment and steering side. Never assume compatibility from appearance alone.
JDM PARTS FILE · HONDA
NSX · NA1 / NA2
Japan supply network
Production era
1990–2005
Why Japan matters
Honda's heritage activity has renewed attention on first-generation NSX parts. Japan remains central to genuine-part identification, restoration knowledge and selected reproduced or compatible heritage components.
Search targets
Interior trim · switches · seals · emblems · suspension service parts · cooling hardware · restoration components
Fitment caution
Honda NSX and Acura NSX specifications differ by market and year. Confirm VIN, chassis code, transmission, ABS generation, airbag configuration and LHD/RHD fitment.
JDM PARTS FILE · MAZDA
RX-7 · FC / FD
Japan supply network
Production era
1985–2002
Why Japan matters
Mazda officially restarted supply of selected FC and FD RX-7 service parts. Alongside remaining genuine inventory, Japan has a deep specialist ecosystem for rotary-era maintenance and restoration.
Search targets
Seals · hoses · switches · trim · lamps · emblems · cooling parts · rotary-engine service hardware
Fitment caution
FC3S, FC3C and FD3S parts vary by model year, body, grade and market. Confirm production date, chassis number and LHD/RHD compatibility before purchase.
JDM PARTS FILE · NISSAN
Skyline GT-R · R32 / R33 / R34
Japan supply network
Production era
1989–2002
Why Japan matters
NISMO Heritage continues to reproduce and expand selected parts for the R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-R. Japan therefore remains the key reference market for genuine, heritage and specialist-stock GT-R components.
Search targets
Heritage trim · weatherstrips · exterior pieces · drivetrain hardware · cooling parts · suspension and restoration components
Fitment caution
GT-R parts differ from standard Skyline parts. Confirm BNR32, BCNR33 or BNR34 chassis code, production date and model specification before ordering.
Why Japan still matters

Remaining stock, heritage production and specialist knowledge

Japan is valuable not because every old part is abundant, but because original manufacturer channels, heritage programs, dismantlers, specialist retailers and tuning networks are concentrated around the cars' home market.

Skyline GT-R

NISMO Heritage reproduces selected discontinued parts for the R32, R33 and R34 and continues to expand the program.

RX-7
